Snapshots of what we've been up to

October/November 2012, Camp Apocalypse! 200 youth from all over the country gather together to play, pray and praise. Joe led worship and Joyce was one of the counselors for the girls. Our main speaker was a missionary in Hungary for many years and he challenged our kids to seize the day and not to forget that the end is near, that we need to live a life that truly matters. It was two intense but fun-filled weekends!

This is our new youth room. A very kind couple donated the necessary funds for the church to build this new wing, and we are loving it! We have youth groups Wednesday and Thursday nights in addition to Sunday morning worship (we call it SMYM) where we come together and yes, play. Well, we usually open up the ground for some fun before we delve into the serious stuff. It sure seems like we play a lot, right? We also get really serious when it comes to learning about JC and the Word. We play hard; pr-y hard. That's how we do, as Joe would say, verbatim.

This is me on the right and one of the Wonder Women on the left. It was spirit week and she was trying to dress up to be Po in Kungfu Panda. The question is, who makes a better Po?? :)

Don't think I need more explanation for this picture. The index maxes out at 500 and it was 736. Rumor says it went upwards of 800 during the darkest hours. I think I passed out on the couch before I could capture the epic moment in pictures, but here you go.

That's it for this time!
